We are pleased to provide our community with another update on the ongoing refund process following the 2024 staking incident. Today marks an important milestone as we complete the refund batch for the period of October 2025 through January 2026.
As previously detailed in our public reports, in 2024, Globiance was impacted by a significant exploit within the staking system of the legacy platform. This incident allowed the improper withdrawal of staked principal tokens over a prolonged period, resulting in a substantial loss of XDC tokens. After an exhaustive six-month investigation involving the review of millions of records, the shareholder team made the voluntary decision to initiate a refund program to reimburse affected users, funded directly from the resources of the new business and its shareholders.
With the completion of this latest round, we have now refunded 20.52% of the total affected tokens. This batch specifically covered refunds scheduled for the months of October, November, December 2025, and January 2026.
Users included in this round have been refunded in XDC. The refunded amounts have been credited and unlocked within their Globiance platform accounts and are now available for immediate withdrawal.
